Air filter and Pipe - A generic
cone filter will be used connected to a length of
pipe attached to the turbo.
Bulkhead box - a turbo spec
engine will fit fine into the Mini, the turbo unit
itself won't though. Welding in this box is the
easiest way to create the extra space.
Electric
cooling fan - an auxiliary cooling fan will
be wired up to provide extra cooling (esp. when
the car is in traffic)
Engine and gearbox - we'll
be using an A-Series turbo engine and gearbox from
a MG Metro Turbo.
Exhaust
system -a 2" system will be used, connected
to the turbo downpipe available from Maniflow.
Fuel pipe - of the correct
5/16ths diameter, also a fuel filter.
Fuel system - a standard
fuel pump won't do. A roller vane fuel pump is needed
along with a fuel pressure regulator and a return
pipe to the tank. We'll be using a late type injection
tank with a pump built in.
Gauges: Boost gauge, an oil
pressure one as well probably be useful.
Mini - The Mini we'll be
using is a 998cc 1985 model. But any will pretty
much do!
Oil
cooler.
Radiator
- An uprated 2 core radiator, the original will
NOT be up to the job. Uprated six blade mechanical
cooling fan. A Cooper S top bracket will be used.

Some uprated engine steadies
would be good as well.
Turbocharger - Garrett T3
turbo unit will be used, also from the Metro Turbo.

Thermal
insulation wrap- help to get the heat from out
of under the bonnet.
Hmm, lots of other bits i've
forgotten too...
